The Biscuit People Conference will be held in Umag this year from 15 to 18 of September. After the success of the two Biscuit People Conferences that were held in April 2018 in Rovinj (Rovigno), and April 2019 in Pula, we are organizing the conference once again. In 2020 we had planned to have a conference but of course due to the pandemic it had to be postponed. Thankfully, the Conference can be held this year.
Biscuit People Conference is an event that brings together leading industry executives, independent consultants, and other biscuit experts to explore and exchange their knowledge, experience, and industry innovations; it is a learning and networking opportunity for all of us.
The Biscuit People Conference is built around sessions with the goal to identify challenges in the industry and offer their solutions. Each of the speakers delivers their interesting and current topic. The attendees (but also other speakers) are encouraged to ask questions, exchange their experiences, ideas, knowledge, and solutions.
Another important goal of the conference is to connect our participants and industry stakeholders through informal meetings so they can establish new collaborations and business opportunities.
Where is the Conference held?
As we mentioned, the Conference is held in the Croatian city of Umag, in the hotel Melia Coral. This is a beautiful 5-star hotel in Katoro Resort, 3 km away from Umag city centre. The hotel is just steps away from the Adriatic Sea and because of its quiet location, the guests have peace while relaxing and / or working.

More than 60 leading industry executives, independent consultants, and other biscuit experts attended the first Biscuit People Conference held on 26-27 April 2018 in the Hotel Eden, Rovinj,Croatia.
The second conference was even more triumphant! In the hotel Plaza, Pula, we welcomed fifthteen speakers and 90 biscuit professionals from all over the world! We hope and strive for an excellent conference this year as well, despite the pandemic of Covid-19.

What to see and do in Umag?
Umag is a Croatian city set on the Istrian peninsula on the Mediterranean Sea. As you enter Istria from the north, Umag is the first city you’ll come across. As with other coastal Croatian towns, it is a beautiful place to enjoy the sun and the sea, especially during summer. If you like to sightsee and explore there are many beautiful locations to visit in charming Umag.
The Artifacts of the Past
Umag has as interesting past, dating back to the ancient times. It is said that Roman nobles built the city and made it their summer residency. Remnants of the past are visible in the old Venetian-style houses in the centre of the city – old walls and towers are still standing to this day.
Old sites are also the partially preserved city gates and the moving bridge, which date back to the 10th century. Later in history, during the Renaissance and the Baroque period, marvelous churches and buildings were built and whose beauty is thankfully witnessed nowadays, too.
